This fall, the South Pasadena Public Library celebrates nature, sustainability and reading with its One city, one history (OCOS) city-wide reading program.

The library invites the community to attend a virtual lecture and Q&A with Barbara Eisenstein, author of Wild Suburbia: Learning to Garden with Native Plants.

The virtual event will take place on Wednesday October 13, 2021 at 7:00 p.m. Eisenstein will discuss the sustainability and benefits of gardening with plants native to California. Registration on Eventbrite is required.

This year One city, one history the theme is “Navigating in Nature” and the chosen story is The Parable of the Sower by Octavia Butler. For more information on OCOS discussions and events, visit the library’s website.
